Agricultural Act of 2014: USDA Highlights

    Last week, President Obama signed the Agricultural Act of 2014, also known as The Farm Bill.  The legislation shifts funding from direct crop payments (subsidies and commodity programs with automatic payments) to crop insurance that only pays when price or revenue drops.  The bill also includes ~7B USD worth of funding for livestock producers, providing immediate assistance for those who have been hit by environmental disaster.
